LegalBar 5 introduces new Letter Automation

BEC Legal Systems is pleased to announce the release of LegalBar 5, which introduces improved letter automation via a new feature called Letter Express.

Letter Express generates a perfectly formatted letter in just a few steps: Pick a recipient, pick a firm standard subject line, use a default attorney as author, done!  Like this:

Of course, Letter Express maintains all of LegalBar’s traditional letter functionality (automated switching of firm stationery alternatives, integration to contacts in Outlook and matter contacts in MatterLink, attorney-based formatting preferences, best practices with Word styles, and more.)  It is an alternative to our traditional Letter Information dialog; however, it is faster, more convenient, and automates letter modifications after letter creation.

Letter Express is also:

• A method to transform an existing document into a letter or update ad-hoc letter parts (standard subject line choices, recipients from the matter, new closing and signature, etc.)
• A new approach for letters with standard, re-useable content (such as an engagement letter.)
• A quick send action for MatterLink contacts.

LegalBar 5 also includes a new contextual “Correspondence Tools” tab in Word, putting all correspondence-writing features in one place.

Finally, LegalBar 5 brings improved integrations with our MatterLink and Assemble-It products (for matter management and document assembly.)
