BEC Legal Systems Announces Profiles, a New Custom Field Capability in CoreRelate Cloud
New capability gives law firms the ability to model practice-specific matter data directly within the CoreRelate Cloud platform.

[Cincinnati, Ohio] – July 9, 2026 – BEC Legal Systems today announced the release of Profiles, a custom field capability within CoreRelate Cloud, its cloud-based legal calendaring, docketing, and matter management platform. Profiles is part of a broader set of matter management capabilities coming to CoreRelate Cloud, with additional functionality scheduled for release by the end of July.
Profiles allows law firms to build custom field sets tailored to the specific data requirements of a practice area or matter type. Fields can be required, repeatable, or subject to validation rules, and profiles can be scoped to specific practices, departments, or matter types so users see only the fields relevant to their work. Firms can also export and import profiles, and make locked-down profile forms available to partners through the CoreRelate public API.
“Firms need good contact management and good matter metadata management, without the pieces that add complexity they do not need,” said Roger Bonine, VP of Technology, BEC Legal Systems. “Profiles gives firms a flexible way to model that data directly within CoreRelate Cloud, on top of the calendaring and docketing capabilities they already depend on.”
Profiles is available now to CoreRelate Cloud clients.
CoreRelate Cloud is positioned as the next-generation successor to BEC Legal Systems’ legacy on-premise products, offering an API-first architecture and integrations with tools including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT.
